Hoover U8361-900 Windtunnel 2 Upright Bagless

RANT: I purchased the Hoover U8361-900 Windtunnel 2 Upright Bagless in October 2006 so it is now 17 months old. I paid $340. The hose clip broke the first time I used it. The replacement also broke about 2 weeks later so I gave up on that. The tools are constantly falling off the machine. The filter is always clogged with dust and drops wads of dirt out when you empty the dirt canister.
DO NOT EMPTY THIS MACHINE IN YOUR HOUSE.
Dirt and dust collect in every nook and cranny of the machine. The exterior of the machine is always dirty. The motor has recently begun sounding like a jet engine on take-off so I suspect it is failing and the machine blows out clouds of dust when turned on.
Emptying the dirt canister and cleaning the plastic filter takes 20 minutes and leaves me, the sink and the floor a mess. The Hoover website has no feature to allow for email feedback.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!
