Hoover Tempo Widepath

RANT: I purchased the Hoover Tempo Widepath U5140-900 and regret the purchase to this day. The vacuum itself does a "good" job on carpet but it's not spectacular by any means.

However, I can't use it for more than 10 minutes before the belt slips off and the brushroll stops working.

Now, I can put the belt back on, but each time I have to unscrew 4 screws on the bottom plate to get to the belt. Once it's back on, I can resume vacuuming for about 10 minutes before the cycle repeats itself.

It's also a joke on bare floors. That part of the product description is pure marketing.

But, despite all that, my biggest complaint is their customer service. I've called the service center many times to no avail. They tell me it's not broken or defective and to just keep replacing the belt.

I spend more time fixing the vacuum than I do cleaning my house.

They've lost a customer on this one. For my next vacuum, I'm looking at a Dyson. Pretty much anything would be better than the Hoover Tempo Widepath.

KUDOS:
Cheap (but you get what you pay for)

COMPLAINTS:
Umm, where do I begin:
Horrid on bare floors
Defective belts
Ridiculous customer service

RATING:
1 out of 5 stars
