Hoover Tempo Bagged Upright U5140-900

Our Panasonic expensive upright we bought 14 yrs ago for $300 finally just had to go. I researched canisters, uprights and spent weeks trying to find the best value and best quality for a lower end vacuum.

I decided that I did not want to spend a lot of money like last time since we will be eventually removing our bedroom carpet and replacing it with hardwood floors.

After googling vacuums and reading HUNDREDS of reviews, I decided on the Hoover Tempo Widepath because it had the highest ratings and favorable reviews.

WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE!!!!

I am shocked that soooooo many people said it was a good machine, obviously it must be WHAT you are comparing it to!If you are downgrading in price to a lower end vacuum from a higher end one, DON'T!

I do have to say the vacuum does do a good job on carpets, BUT it seems like I have to go over the same spot more than once.
The cord is RIDICULOUSLY short and changing to multiple outlets when you had a machine that you could plus into 1 and forget about it, it is a total pain.

The machine is useless on floors and the hose is the most ATROCIOUS. The plastic hose kinks up and you can't get it unkinked. It does not reach the ceilings (we have standard ceilings in our house) so getting the dust bunny's and doing the tops of curtains, not possible.

It is loud as everyone has said, much louder than my former Panasonic.

If you have LOTS of carpet, and that's ALL you want to vacuum, it will work for you, if you multiple surfaces and need it to be an all inclusive machine, DON'T BUY IT!

I am ready to just donate it to Goodwill, because it literally is annoying me too much!

I should have just gotten the same Panasonic in a newer model again.
