Dirt Devil Jaguar
My Dirt Devil Jaguar bagless is an outstanding vacuum except for one thing. The self-leveling mechanism no longer works and the sweeper sits flat on the floor. It won’t pick up anything unless I bend over and push the handle down to raise the vacuum a tiny bit. This is, to say the least, uncomfortable. I now only use this vacuum to clean my stairs, which uses only the hose and attachments. When I first bought this vacuum, I was very impressed the great suction power, light weight, and easy maneuverability, and recommended it to my sister, who also bought one. Within six months, the self-levelers in both had ceased to function. We pursued repair options and were told it wouldn’t be worth it. We both bought other vacuums, neither of them Dirt Devils.
Another problem is that the belt is extremely hard to replace. It takes more physical strength in the hands than I have. I have to get a man to replace them for me. The one time I did get a belt replaced on my own, I guess I didn’t get it in exactly right and bent the beater bar, so this one doesn’t work at all. I keep it around for spare parts.
